Most searches are one adjustment away from working. These are the same question asked with a different figure, or the same figure asked at a different size.
Same size, different figure
Every share here is a count divided by the number of listings it came from, and both are printed beside it. Those listings are two-bedroom homes gathered from estate agents across London since 8 March 2026, which is about 5 months of watching: 8 March to 5 September 2026.
It is a running total of what has been advertised over that time, not a count of what is free this minute. So a figure here answers "how much of the market has been coming up at my budget", which is the question worth asking before you start, rather than "what can I view on Saturday".
These are asking rents at the point of advertising rather than the rent finally agreed, and it is what agents were marketing rather than a census. Rents below £500 or above £15,000 a month are set aside as data errors or ultra-prime outliers. Where a borough had too few homes of this size to support a share, we leave it out and say so rather than print a figure nobody should lean on.
